The Cats Pyjamas Rescue work is entirely supported by dedicated volunteers & organisations, other charities & individuals who generously give their time, effort & support including Arche Noah Kreta & Woodland Nook Cat Rescue
Very limited support (& no financial funding) is available from the government, but we assist them with advice & organisation of the Apokoronas Veterinary Clinic
Some of our main expenses include food, veterinary consultation, medicines & cleaning supplies, we are always short on these, any donations would be gratefully received and put to good use, please contact us if you would like to donate
We do not receive salaries, nor do our volunteers, we give our time & energy freely
Some cats are adopted, the flight/transport costs are listed below
These are the average lowest prices we pay for our cats & kittens, care & food per day includes vet visits for passport & fostering. Often they are sick or injured which of course adds veterinary medicines, operations & investigations to the cost, but vets fees are much less here than in the UK.
Kittens must be at least sixteen weeks old (permanent incisors have appeared) & the rabies injection has to be given 21 days before travel so they will need to be looked after for at least 3 weeks before travelling.
